We know that many of you are passionate about spelt and making real bread. We've had a bumper harvest this year and the demand for spelt is high following the spelt shortage so the grain has maintained its premium price on the international market.

This September the Real Bread Campaign invites you to discover that `Life's sweeter with sourdough.'

There is a lot of angst about creating a `mother' for a sourdough and sustaining it but click here to find a spelt version which is really very simple. Once your sourdough starter is working, you can gradually add to it to improve its flavour. Use this starter to make a classic Sourdough Bread. SHARPHAM PARK   Sharpham Park is a 300 acre organic estate set deep in the Somerset countryside.
