Two week’s ago, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and his team visited our farm at Sharpham Park to do a bit of research and filming about our spelt. He met Pete, our miller, and talked to him about what makes spelt special as part of his series of programmes celebrating the very best that Autumn has to offer.
Hugh, his baker Dan and Pete took Roger’s jeep up to a patch of spelt we had left standing after the harvest, and tried to glean enough grain to make a loaf of bread and some biscuits … not as easy as they had first thought!!!
